Stu Orchard

Stu Orchard's Uneven LP Launch at the Norfolk Basement, Saturday 19th December 2009

The Uneven Album is going to be in independent record stores (78's, Mills, Dadas) from Friday 18th December 2009

"A great piece of Australiana" - Eddie Vedder

"If you like Beck you will love Stu Orchard" - Duane Smith, The Chevelles

It has been a couple of years in the making but the much anticipated release of Stu Orchard's The Uneven Album is sure to create a storm of interest.

It will be Orchard's first shot at merging the electro-heavy tracks created on his laptop, with exciting live instrumentation. A promise for the night is a peek into his world of eclectic and infectious sounds.

Drum machines, synths, samples and electro bleeps feature on tracks like The Silence, Delinquent and Funny Sometimes. There are straight-up rock tracks in Kitten in a Mirror and You Make Me Sick and the title track, Uneven Seagulls is bobby and fun fusing out-of-tune piano with classical guitar.

For the launch, Orchard has recruited Ben Gray (Lake of Bass) on bass, Ben Stacy (Tangled Thoughts of Leaving) on drums, Adam 'Bucko" Buckley (Bat Country) on electric guitar and Angus Money on keyboards and saxophone.

The unique punk/funk of The Moltens will be supporting, along with the thump of dancehall from DJ Benny L throughout the night.

The launch of Stu Orchard's The Uneven Album is something not to be missed as he carries you on a magical ride through a feast of distinctive and unforgettable vibrations.  Make a date for this magnetic event, Saturday, December 19, The Norfolk Basement.
Don't get left behind.
