Groove monsters Sneaky Weasel Gang are the 2009 WAMI award winners for the "Best Funk Act" in Western Australia. The raucous trio combine a simmering mix of 60s type garage blues and dirty funk that's heavily based around good groove and guitar, and is instrumentally influenced by organ, bass and drum instrumental groups like Booker T & the MGs and The Meters.
Talented well beyond their years the 22 year olds have been firmly cementing their new identity within WA and Australia over the past 2 years and enjoy nothing more then setting the dance floor on fire. With their new release "Bodyslide Blues" under the belt, and a taste of Triple J airplay, you can expect big things to come from these Weasels.
Having just returned from the National “Bodyslide Blues” EP Release Tour, the Sneaky Weasel Gang are finishing it all off at home at the Railway Hotel on Saturday the 28th of November, joined by special guests Timothy Nelson and The Infidels and DJ Charlie Bucket.
