Project Mayhem Announce Album Launch Carnivàl!
Lovable larrikins Project Mayhem are set to launch their nationally-distributed debut self-titled album on Saturday 7 November 2009 at the Amplifier Bar, located on Murray Street in Perth.
The night promises to be an entertaining mix of high-energy rock’n’roll tunes, and a good-time Carnivàl theme which will see the employment of circus and street performers.
As always the band promise big guitar riffs, instantly memorable melodies, a dynamite stage show, and some genuinely thoughtful and subversive lyrical content.
Guitarist Jozef Grech, 23 of Fremantle, is promising plenty of surprises on the album:
“There will be a saxophone on this record—and strings, I can guarantee that. This is a step into the future for Project Mayhem, the culmination of five years work. This is the record we’ve always wanted to make.”
November’s launch marks a significant milestone for the four-piece rock’n’roll band, whose professional career was kick-started less than 18 months ago when they won Western Australia’s Next Big Thing competition.
Since that time the band have launched an EP aboard a sold-out Paddle Steamer on the Swan River; appeared at the Big Day Out, In The Pines, and WAMI Festivals; and supported The Bronx and Marky Ramone amongst others.
Project Mayhem will be available nationally on CD and limited-edition coloured vinyl through Firestarter Music from November. |
