As it stands, the door bitches say 'you just missed an awesome act' if you show up after their set" (FasterLouder).

“With each successive release their brand of Black Rebel-esque rock ‘n’ roll has slowly grown and matured. Starting as a bit of a mish mash of influences and gradually maturing into a well-honed sharp pointy stick of stoner-cool-as-fuck-rock… they can back up all the tight rock licks in their recordings with enough swagger to make Vince Noir self conscious.” (Who The Hell Are They)

Introducing THE SCOTCH OF SAINT JAMES.

More importantly introducing Vigilante Neck Tie Party, the gents very soon to be released debut LP.

Vigilante Neck Tie Party is very much a new direction for The Scotch, with plenty of light and plenty of shade, a whole lot of groove and a cheeky foray into ‘motivated stoner’.

The gents are proud of this record and has been carefully crafted to flow as a start to finish listen, culminating in their favourite track, a sprawling, agressive groove epic My Bloated Country Pride – which has been mixed into a reprise of My Shoes - we’ll keep you posted about a radio edit out towards the end of the year.

There is a changing of the guard on Hey Man where Timmy  takes over from frontman Michael-Andrews on both lyrical and guitar duties and Michael on bass. There is also a retracked and remixed version of Oliver, as well as the cheeky foray into ‘motivated stoner’ The Happy Peacock.

Recorded and mixed by Dave Parkin at his Blackbird Studio, the first two singles from the album have been receiving healthy airplay on RTR FM + community stations around the country with Triple J rotation thrown in for good measure.

Launching Aug 22 at Amplifier, where they will be joined by good mates Red Jezebel and newcomers The Old Croak (James from Harlequin League’s new project).

This launch is WA only at the moment, and national release details will be announced shortly. The second single Square Eyes was just released yesterday (Mon 10 Aug) and was on national airwaves within hours. Both Square Eyes  and Heh Man are up today on their myspace player – www.myspace.com/thescotchofsaintjames and on it’s way to your post box soon.

Please enjoy this next step forward from The Scotch Of Saint James.

Vigilante Neck Tie Party is coming soon. Welcome to the family…
