WA Gig Guide Interview/Review

State Of Order

State Of Order

And so it was live, the crowd were right to be expectant.

From the moment the hard rock band stepped on stage the Vocalist Rob proved to be the front man throughout the whole of the performance. Throwing himself all over the stage and the power behind his voice was absolutely potent and powerful, whilst the boys behind him thrashed their instruments, the atmosphere they create, and the power of how they play their songs was absolutely amazing.

As it was their video launch that night for ‘Let it Rain’, it was played throughout their whole set. The clip is most certainly astounding. It very well done and the boys just looked fantastic, especially the guitarist James and his muscles will have the girls running wild!!

‘Cut It’ and ‘Sui’ have defiantly proved to be live favourites, but then again every track State of Order have are as good as another. With soaring melodies that everybody loves, every track was like a slap in the face and didn't give you any time to recover before the band went off again. Just how we all like it.

In every song the drummer Rob would inject a heavy solid drumming beat that drove the audience crazy and begging for more.  Johnno the bassist is also a killer under the spotlight, an excellent bassist that always keeps his riffs tight.  The communication between the lead vocalist and the front of the crowd was intense, having more than one person singing into the microphone that was not the vocalist; I must say they did a pretty good damn job themselves.

It was well delivered and the audience loved every minute of it. For State of Order, it’s defiantly the start of something big!

Tell us about State of Order.

We are a 4 Piece Melodic hard Rock band that’s been together for about a year and a half.

Where does the name originate?

The name came from another band name we were going to use but heaps of bands had which was ENTROPY, we got the name from the meaning of that word. It’s something like a state of order to disorder.

Do you have a main source of inspiration for your music?

I’d have to say we inspire each other a lot in the room jamming, but I tend to a lot of writing by myself, whether it be inspiration from a piece of music I heard or just playing the guitar and coming up with something out of nowhere.

After two EP Launches you are doing a Video Clip Launch. Can you tell us about the filming behind it?

We filmed the Video Clip at ECU Mt Lawley in the studios there. We had some problems with the set we were going to use so we filmed there and also on the playback on the song that day. So it was a very interesting day. I was also hung-over lol.

What is next on the agenda for State of Order?

We are currently recording the third installment to our series which will be an EP, the others were more so Singles. Then we have to organise the release of the cd which will coincide with a down south tour.

What do you think about WA's live music scene and how do you think it could be improved?

I think it is quite good; there are many upcoming bands which are of great quality. I think more support from the people of WA would be better as everyone goes and watches cover bands which suck. Better venues in more central areas would also help.
