The Monicans formed in mid 2007 and are looking to make headways into the Perth scene come 2008. Consisting of Paul Beard (May Fled) on Guitar and Vocals, Tim Chua (Systemless) on Drums, Ciaran Lonie (May Fled) on Guitar and Heather Lonie on Bass, The Monicans mix indie- punk tempo with Dylanesque folk melodies. Driving beats, loud guitars, powerful vocals combine to produce a sound that will be synonymous with Perth music.
