Since the inception of Johnny Law & the Pistol Packin’ Daddies in 2001 the band has played all over Australia, toured throughout Germany and the West Coast of the United States (including Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Festival 2007/2008), recorded 3 full length CDs and held a 3 year residency on Monday nights at the Mustang Bar. And now in 2009, they’re heading back to Europe and the US for their biggest tour to date.
In 2008 Johnny lived and played his brand of Rockabilly in Southern California. He returned to Perth in December of 2008 and began organising the new tour.
With three unique but traditional style releases under their belt, they have plenty to choose from and their latest CD, “I’ll Get It Right” was recorded at Lightning Recorders in Berlin, offering the listener a generous number of tunes to please the ear.
On this particular recording you’ll hear songs with different feels such as Blues, on “Big Bad Blues”, or the revamped swingin’ sound of Johnny Burnette’s “All By Myself” and traditional full-stream-ahead Rockabilly on the title track, “I’ll Get It Right”. There’s something for everyone on this 17 track CD.
This is a energetic band that really does love what they do.
