Biography

IL Caps is a collective of 3 veteran Perth musicians that played in 90's Perth indie band scene. Jack Lucas played in Yummy Fur/6 Mile High, Kuling Bros and played on Shaun Ryder (Happy Mondays/Black Grape) debut solo album "Amateur Night at the Bigtop". Matt and Jamie Harskamp played in Verona, Wilberforce, The Yeah Nah's and have collaborated on many other projects.

These musicians knew each other through the 90's circuit originally. Over the past year this trio were looking to start a new project and by coincidence reformed their bond from the 90's music scene and realized after a couple of jams that this musical chemistry does not happen everyday. I guess the best way to describe them is Psych Indie Rock with a fusion of lots of different influences amongst the 3 different members.

IL CAPS don't really like to stereotype music into categories. In their words "We just make music for those who still believe in timeless tunes". This is simply rock n roll for the prolific purists. There are not many bands left that can perform with this kind musicianship and write songs to the level they are creating.

The world needs serious rock n roll again. For those of you who believe that music can touch the soul and literally change peoples ideas on how they live amongst each other, if you still believe in dreams, then this is a band you don't want to miss. Was it a coincidence their paths crossed again after 10 years or was it fate?
