David Rastrick's new band is now launching it's new mix of funk and reggae songs made for dancing!
"I'm totally excited about the new group!" exclaimed David, "There are great tunes and times ahead!"
Band Members:
David Rastrick - Vocals, Trumpets, Synthesiser; Katie J White - Vocals, Bass Guitar; Colin Reeves - Electric Guitar, and; Olly Watkins - Drum-kit, plus special guest*; Jude Iddison - Electrified Violin.

Musical Styles:
Reggae (Dub & Roots) and Ska, Funk and Soul, Soul-Jazz and Hip-Hop grooves.
"I like to merge my jazz influences with contemporary styles to create new funky music made for dancing!" said Rastrick.
Repertoire:
David Rastrick bands repertoire is a fifty-fifty (50/50) mix of original and classic songs. Artists who's songs are interpreted by the group include: Bob Marley; Stevie Wonder; Seal; Herbie Hancock; Goanna; Marvin Gaye, and many more.
"We've been finding that the mix of original songs and classics is a real crowd pleaser." Rastrick said, "It's musically satisfying for the band and audience alike."
Album Releases:
David released his debut double album - Rise Up in Love/Jazztrix - last Easter (2011). Rise Up in Love is a funk/reggae album, whilst Jazztrix is a live album of original classic jazz compositions. Over half of the limited edition of five-hundred (500) CDs have been sold - with five-dollars ($5) from each CD going to help the Sourh West's endangered black cockatoos and forests. The albums are also available online along, with back issues of two of David's past musical acts: Freedom Police, and Midnight Mahina. The band will record a new reggae album at Albany's Mudbrick Studios in December with some proceeds from sales going to Oxfam to aid with the famine in East Africa.
"Everywhere we've been playing, people have been asking for recordings of our Reggae tunes." David said, "I'm really looking forward to working with Martin at Mudbrick Studios again to capture that live rhythm section sound."
