Biography

TKO is a powerhouse 5 piece original band hailing from the west coast of Australia.

TKO have been described as a modern blend of power grooves, killer riffs, juicy melodies and sonic mayhem, One of TKO's early recordings "Dead Horse" was selected as a finalist in the West Australian Music Industries 2001 song writing competition.

TKO have played at Perth's best original venues including the Amplifier, the Fly By Night club, The Globe, The Rosemount, The Paddington Ale House, Curtin University, The Taipan Room and the Newport hotel.

TKO's song "Scrutinizer" was selected and features on the Left of Centre 2 compilation CD. Three Video clips have been filmed for the songs Scrutinizer Pay to play and No Surprise. The video clip for the song Scrutinizer appears on S.L.A.M.'s "Video Vault". The clip for No Surprise was given spins on ABC's Rage and was simulcast on JJJ. TKO's song "No Surprise" was chosen to appear on the "S.L.A.M. 2" Compilation CD.

TKO also features four of Perth's working Audio engineers including WAMI contribution to the music industry nominee Stevie D, and 4 time multiple WAMI winners for "Best live sound engineer", Ian Stuart.

TKO's debut CD "BEARINGS" has all but sold out and was reviewed in Zebra/ Hype magazine where it was selected as Local CD of the week. It was also given rave reviews in Groove magazine, Grok and Popstar.

TKO played to a huge all ages audience at the Point Walter "Yak It Up" in March 2003 sharing the stage with You Am I, Rollerskates, Team Jedi and Spencer Tracy.

Meanwhile TKO have already begun pre-production work on that all important follow up second release. TKO is definitely an all round professional act.
