TKO is a powerhouse 5 piece original band
hailing from the west coast of Australia.
TKO have been described as a modern blend of power grooves,
killer riffs, juicy melodies and sonic mayhem, One of
TKO's early recordings "Dead Horse" was selected
as a finalist in the West Australian Music Industries
2001 song writing competition.
TKO have played at Perth's best original
venues including the Amplifier, the Fly By Night club,
The Globe, The Rosemount, The Paddington Ale House,
Curtin University, The Taipan Room and the Newport hotel.
TKO's song "Scrutinizer" was
selected and features on the Left of Centre 2 compilation
CD. Three Video clips have been filmed for the songs
Scrutinizer Pay to play and No Surprise. The video clip
for the song Scrutinizer appears on S.L.A.M.'s "Video
Vault". The clip for No Surprise was given spins
on ABC's Rage and was simulcast on JJJ. TKO's song "No
Surprise" was chosen to appear on the "S.L.A.M.
2" Compilation CD.
TKO also features four of Perth's working
Audio engineers including WAMI contribution to the music
industry nominee Stevie D, and 4 time multiple WAMI
winners for "Best live sound engineer", Ian
Stuart.
TKO's debut CD "BEARINGS" has all but sold
out and was reviewed in Zebra/ Hype magazine where it
was selected as Local CD of the week. It was also given
rave reviews in Groove magazine, Grok and Popstar.
TKO played to a huge all ages audience
at the Point Walter "Yak It Up" in March 2003
sharing the stage with You Am I, Rollerskates, Team
Jedi and Spencer Tracy.
Meanwhile TKO have already begun pre-production work
on that all important follow up second release. TKO
is definitely an all round professional act.
