The Automasters nucleus formed in the warm and primordial backwaters of “West Street” in West Perth sometime in 1997 continuing a great musical tradition of bands from this short (3 house) dead-end street. Influenced by neighbors Cinema Prague and Circus Murders, the genesis of The Automasters began to jam as a three-piece group playing only original riffs, which to their own surprise took on a strong country flavour.
