Introduction: Fluidground is the musical project of Singer/Songwriter Anthony Nieves. Anthony has been singing and songwriting since around 1998, during this time he has been a part of full band line-ups, performed in duets and also solo. Anthony performs solo around local acoustic venues in Perth.

Recently - Anthony has completed his debut solo 10 track album. 7 of the tracks were completely recorded in Anthony's home studio and 3 of the songs were recorded with Rob Agostini SOUNDBAKER STUDIOS with the help of session musicians.

Songwriting dominantly with an acoustic guitar and embracing modern technology, Fluidground is a blend of acoustically driven rock pop with emotional melodic vocals.

Influences - Anthony has an appreciation for ballads using atmospheric moody sounds and emotionally driven lyrics, with respect to Australian musicians such as Alex Lloyd, Pete Murray, Powderfinger, and the like.

Past achievements

The video clip for title track AUTUMN DAYS received its debut airplay on Australian television. It was broadcast nationally on Saturday April 23 2005 on the ABC music video program "RAGE".

On Thursday March 17 2005 the first track on the "Autumn Days" album "I took another chance" Received its debut airplay on commercial radio after Anthony was invited to an interview in the studio of Perth commercial radio station 96FM.

Anthony was selected as one of only three state finalists after his song "Autumn Days" was played on Perth commercial radio station 94.5 as part of a world wide competition to find a new lead singer for rock band INXS.

Participation in the 20 minutes of fame at the Grosvenor Hotel saw Anthony perform solo against full band line ups and achieve a place in the semi-finals.

Performances with the Australian Songwriters Association has sparked attention, with an invite to participate in a Channel 31 showcase of local talent.

In the 2002 National Oz music competition Anthony received a semi-finalist place in the Pop Rock Division.
